PERFORMANCE CHARACTERISTICS

Application range of octagonal metal ring gasket: usually used for high temperature and high pressure steam, gas, solvent pipe flange, tower groove, pressure vessel, high speed joint surface, high temperature and high pressure valve, cover. Wellhead devices and seals on Christmas trees in the oil and gas industry;

Metal ring pads originated in the United States, and were first used in the field of boilers in the 1920s. They were later used to seal manhole covers and other windows of autoclaves. They were particularly valued in the oil production and refining industries. As the temperature and pressure of steam power plants increase, the use of metal ring pads becomes more and more widespread.

MG-RX	RX type octagonal gasket, withstand pressure up to 700bar. This gasket is first used to contact the flange with the outer sealing surface. High system pressure will cause high base stress. RX metal ring pads are interchangeable with standard R ring pads.
MG-BX	BX type octagonal pad, high pressure (up to 1500bar) BX type gasket is self-sealed by the internal system pressure generated by the pressure of the gasket base on the flange contact surface. This gasket is suitable for APIBX flange and tenon flang

PROPERTIES AND APPLICATION

The metallic ring joint gaskets are manufactured according to the API 6A and ASME B16.20 standards for opplicotion at elevoted temperatures and pressures. The small sealing area with high contact pressure results in great reliability. The contact surfaces of the gaskets and Honge should be cceefully processed. Some types of ring-joints are pressure activated, that means, higher the pressure better the sealability.

ADVANTAGES

The metal ring joint gaskets have been designed to withstand exceptionally high assembly loads over a small area, thus producing high seoting stresses.
